TAXI: 

• Safest, easiest way is to get a taxi at the airport. All taxi companies are trustable at the airport. Use the official taxi stands only!

TRANSFER:

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

• Airport: 100E is a direct public bus service, running between Liszt Ferenc International Airport and Deak Ferenc square back and forth. You can buy your ticket at the bus. Here you can find its daily schedule: More
• Bus/ train: If you arrive to any of the railway or bus stations either find the "red" metro line and get off at Astoria stop or find the "blue" metro line and get off at Deák Ferenc square. 
• The hostel is a 5 minute walk both from Deák Ferenc square and from Astoria too.

ON FOOT

• You can either use the Google Map or any other app to navigate to us by simply entering The Hive Party Hostel or use our website's Google Map on the homepage.

• During your stay avoid of any travel with "Freelancer" taxi
• Use official taxi companies (City Taxi, 6x6 Taxi, Főtaxi) or 
• Download the application "Bolt" for online orders https://bolt.eu/ or directly from your app store

We understand that safety is a top priority especially for solo female travellers and we want you to feel secure during your stay in Budapest. Rest assured, Budapest is a safe city for tourists, with a welcoming atmosphere. Like any major city, it's important to stay vigilant and take common-sense precautions, such as keeping an eye on your belongings and avoiding anything that seems to be risky late at night.

At The Hive, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our guests, and our staff are always available to provide assistance or answer any questions you may have about navigating the city safely.

There are many companies offering bicycles or e-scooters to rent. Be aware, there are some areas where you can not enter with a scooter and you must leave your vehicle in an official bike racks.

The Hive recommendations:

Bicycles: MOL Bubi

The official bike rental of Budapest. Monthly fee is 1000 HUF (cca. 2,5 EUR) with no extra charges if you use your bike no longer than 30 minutes -it's always easy to find a rack and leave your bike there and simply pick up an another one ;) Unlimited use, cheaper than a bus ticket and everything is easy to reach. E-scooters: Lime

One of the biggest -escooter rental in the world. Easy and safe to use via the app: https://www.li.me/ The price of the rides on e-scooters and e-bikes varies per location in the city. To know exactly the costs, download the Lime app. There is no cost to download the app. Fix price of unlocking a vehicle and minute-based costs are to be expected.

• If you decide to use public transportation during your stay, download the “Budapest GO” public transport route planner and ticket application.
• Tickets are available from ticket machines. Closest ones are at Astoria and Deák ferenc Sq., next to the underground entry.
• You need to have a validated ticket or much better a daily or weekly ticket during your travels. 
• Follow the validation instructions -usually scan your pre-purchased ticket via Budapest Go or use the OG validation machine on the trams or at the underground entrances.
• Be prepared to be asked for your ticket by the jumpers/gatemen. They usually speak English and are ready to help.
• For any further information, like daily tickets and Budapest Cards, ask the reception.

Public Parking is available but parking lots are very limited and as we are in the very middle of the City, it is very expensive (max. 3 hours).

Open-space, 24/7 guarded parking lot, just a few 100m from the hostel. Spaces upon availability, hourly or daily charges.

CarePark Gozsdu Car Park: More

Also close to the hostel. 0-24h guarded car park. Payment on site, daily parking tickets available.
